Whilst an independent club, we are members of the well established Amateur Martial Associations (AMA), through which grades are registered and insurance obtained. All instructors are approved coaches, hold professional indemnity insurance and have attended approved first aid courses.

We are non-profit making, equal opportunities club. We aim to treat all students regardless of age, sex, religion, politics and ability with equal respect. The syllabus will be adapted for those with disabilities.

The Norwich Ju Jitsu Club trains in the Lower School Hall at the Hewett School, Cecil Road, Norwich. (On rare occasions this venue may change).

Classes are for Adults and Juniors (generally 8-16 yrs of age). Beginners and experienced martial artists from other disciplines are welcome at any time.

Training takes place in a friendly atmosphere whilst respecting the etiquette associated with traditional martial arts.

Fees

Payable after 1 free session is licence/insurance fee of £20 for seniors and £15 for juniors. This is renewable annually at a cost of £18 and £13 respectively. No student will be allowed to practice without a current licence as this provides insurance for the student’s own protection.

Mat fees are £5 per session for seniors and £4 per session for Juniors (8-16 yrs of age).

Grading Fees are £10 for seniors and juniors per grade up to and including brown belt.
